“Caring Clowns shared joy makes their work therapeutic and healing.”
~Lynda Del Grande, Caring Clown Program, 50+ Programs, Ryerson University
A Caring Clown tells a story about the authors friend, 86 year old Inge Gei, and her desire to help others by injecting cheerful visits into the lives of others. Inge graduated from Ryerson’s Caring Clown Program at Ryerson University and now visits Long-Term Care Homes on a regular basis. She finds the experiences challenging but very rewarding. Many of the patients she encounters respond in a positive manner to her smiles and singing voice.
Inge has always had a talent for singing and acting since she was a little girl and now her community work is helping others to heal and providing an inspiration for them.
