West Toronto Support Services will be closed this upcoming Monday, October 12th for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be reopening on Tuesday, 13th.
Did you know that Nov. 6, 1879 was the first day that Thanksgiving was officially celebrated? Since it was initially declared a national holiday by The Canadian Parliament, it has been bringing people together every second Monday in October.
Our Adult Day Service celebrated today with their own special Thanksgiving lunch with friends and family. Turkey with dill mashed potatoes and stuffing. Sliced carrots and peas on the side. There was also the business of saving the best for last – Pumpkin Pie!
If you’re in need of your own great dessert recipe for a thanksgiving dinner, check out some DELICIOUS dishes over at Zoomer.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
