“We are confident that, by combining our agencies’ strengths, we will be able to expand the services that enable clients to live independently in the community, and better serve west-end seniors and adults with disabilities.” ~ Annual Report 2016/2017
On Thursday September 27, 2017, West Toronto Support Services (WTSS) held its 32nd Annual General Meeting at 1709 Bloor St. W. 2nd. Fl. The focus of the meeting was confirming and discussing the announced amalgamation of WTSS and Humber Community Seniors’ Services (HCSS) which will take effect January 1, 2018.
A special thank you to all members, volunteers, staff and special guests that actively participated, including LA Centre for Active Living, Humber Community Seniors’ Services, Storefront Humber, and representatives Bhutila Karpoche for MPP Cheri DiNovo and Dawn Gordaneer for MP Arif Virani
Our Executive Director, Thom Burger, and our Chair from the WTSS Board of Directors, Brandon Makins, led the evenings agenda. Updates were shared live on social media. Plus Thom recognized those staff members that have provided dedicated service for over 10 years at WTSS (an amazing 30% of our entire staff) for their unfailing commitment. These 10 plus tenured staff members embody our values, values that are critical to meet our mission. Please watch this video and help us to congratulate them on their successes over their years of service!
Please take a moment to read our 2016/2017 Annual Report below for a highlight of the last years achievements and what our new amalgamation will bring to WTSS in 2018.
